虚構世界と物語から影響を受けてきたTonerは、台湾在住時代にオルタナティブなアンダーグラウンドテクノシーンと邂逅。日本に帰国したのちは野外イベントのレポーターや様々な役割のサポーターとして、ダンス・ミュージックの境界線を拡張し続ける隠れたホットスポットへと深く潜り込んできた。2022年からToss、Kaanaらと共にディープ・リスニングにフォーカスしたチルアウト・コミュニティ ”LIMINAL DREAMS” を始動させ、現在は東京でのイベントのディレクションを担っている。
Tonerの関心はフォーマティヴな音楽ジャンルを横断、逸脱、脱構築することにあり、忘れ去られた過去の名作から日の目を浴びてない隠れたジェム、カテゴライズ不能な実験音楽をこよなく愛している。DJとしては、煙の漂う薄暗いクラブから日本の秘境に出現するダンスフロアを異世界へと誘うような演出をしてきた。国内では〈rural〉や〈Transcendence〉などの野外フェスティバルから、台湾の〈Organik Festival〉、タイの〈Wonderfruit〉に出演している。
Heavily influenced by the fictional world and stories, Toner firstly encountered the alternative techno underground scene while living in Taiwan. After returning to Japan, Toner has been diving deep into the hidden hotspots that expand the boundaries of dance music, and working for them in many positions behind the scenes. Since 2022, he has started to host the deep listening focused chill-out community “LIMINAL DREAMS” with Toss and Kaana, and now is responsible for directing events in Tokyo.
Toner is interested in crossing, deviating, and deconstructing existing formative genres, and loves forgotten old masterpieces, hidden gems that have never seen the light, and uncategorizable experimental music. As a DJ, He is known for his ability to take the dance floor from a smoke-filled, dimly lit club to an otherworldly dance floor in the secluded corners of Japan. He has taken to the stage at outdoor festivals such as “rural” and “Transcendence” in Japan, as well as at “Organik Festival” in Taiwan and “Wonderfruit” in Thailand.
