2009年に始動して以来各音楽メディアで称賛され、唯一無二のコレクティブとしてカルト的な人気を誇るレーベルGieglingの主要メンバーであり、プロデューサーとしてもLeafer LegovとのユニットKettenkarussellやHerr Koreanderなどの名義でも活動するKonstantin。近年はGieglingとしてのワールドツアーを敢行。ポルトガルのWaking Lifeでは毎年彼らが一つのステージをキュレーションしており、自由な精神を持つ音楽愛好家たちが年に一度、フェスティバルでの生活における目覚めを通して、ホームとなる場所を提供している。
日本へもGieglingとして幾度となく訪れており、その都度集まったコアなリスナーに向けてテクノ、ハウスを中心としながら時折時間軸を歪めるようなトラックを挟み、レーベルが持つ独特の世界観を表現してきた。ロングセットでは後半になるにつれてビートを崩し、長い隙間と変則的リズムの向こう側に自身が持つ音像を表現して見せ、フロアから人がいなくなるその時までダンスと言う観念に縛られずそこにいたクラウドをまさに”ハメ”続けた。
Konstantin is one of the key members of Giegling, a German label which has been praised in the music media since they established as a label in 2009 and boasts a cult following as a unparalleled collective. He also works as one half of the duo Kettenkarussell with Leafer Legov, and under Herr Koreander alias. In recent years, Konstantin has been touring the world with Giegling. The also curate a stage at Waking Life in Portugal every year, providing a home for free-spirited music lovers through the awakening at a festival life.
The label has made numerous visits to Japan in the past, and each time they showed the label’s distinctive worldview to the connoisseurs who gathered there, with a focus on techno and house, interspersed with the occasional time warping track. In his long sets, Konstantin gradually broke the beat, expressing his own sound image beyond the long gaps and irregular rhythms and keeping crowds in “hame” state there without being bound by the idea of “dancing” until the moment when the floor became empty.
