Rooted in Black music, illrinai delivers all-vinyl sets that explore a wide range of sounds—from techno, house, and electronic dance music to dub, jazz, and experimental. Her unique sense for crafting floors—through mixes that unfold with a ritualistic depth or unexpected moments of bliss—ripples outward like waves, earning praise from a wide variety of parties and listeners.

Currently based in Sendai, she holds a regular slot at DJsBAR Waon, and is involved in several projects including “QUEST,” a dance party in Yamagata, the listening-focused “The Fifth World,” and “A Low,” a dub-centered session.

Born and raised in Mori no miyako aka Sendai, she’s a devoted lover of cats, turtles, and records.
