2008年結成。レジデントである沼クルーは、COMPUMA、Dr.NISHIMURA、AWANOの3人。 かつては東京・下北沢MOREの沼に生息。 活動は不定期ながら、それぞれが独自の視点でDJミックスして沼の可能性を模索していたが、2013年より新たな試みとして、3人によるバック・スリー・バックなDJスタイルで予測不能な更なるネクストな沼世界を探っている。電子音楽、ハウス、テクノ、ニューエイジ、ブレイクビーツ、インダストリアル、アシッド、エレクトロ、ディスコ、ワールド・ミュージック、、、こうした音楽達が、全くもって不可分のドロっとサイケデリックでレフトフィールド、ズブズブな世界を拡張しながら、幾分ダンスフロアにはスローなBPMを携えてゆっくりと進んでいく。悪魔の沼として、彼らはある意味で、何者でもない沼人となる。彼らは溶け合い、そのサウンドをつなぎ、ひたすら音を奏で続ける。これまでに多彩なDJやアーチスト達がゲストとしても独自の沼を演出してきた。結成10年を経て、RA（Resident Advisor）での特集記事、rural、りんご音楽祭、FUJI & SUN、FRUE、森道市場等の音楽フェスへの参加、全国各地での活動が活発化している。
湿っぽく泥の深い地の事を沼地と呼ぶ。沼には野生動物が生息し、しばしば多種多様な動物の繁殖地となる。
Formed in 2008, the resident crew of Akuma No Numa consists of COMPUMA, Dr. NISHIMURA, and AWANO. They once inhabited the swamp of MORE in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. Their activities were irregular, but each of them explored the possibilities of the swamp through their unique perspectives on DJ mixes. Since 2013, they have been experimenting with a new approach—back-to-back DJ sets by the three of them—exploring an unpredictable, next-level swamp world. Genres like electronic music, house, techno, new age, breakbeats, industrial, acid, electro, disco, and world music all blend into an inseparable, muddy psychedelic and leftfield soundscape, moving slowly on the dancefloor with a somewhat slower BPM. As Akuma No Numa, they are, in a sense, swamp people who are no one and everyone. They merge, connect their sounds, and continue creating music endlessly. Over the years, a diverse range of DJs and artists have also performed as guests, adding their own unique interpretations of the swamp. After 10 years since their formation, their activities have gained momentum, with features in RA (Resident Advisor), performances at music festivals such as rural, Ringo Festivali, FUJI & SUN, FRUE, and Morimichi Ichiba, and an increasing presence nationwide.
Swampy, muddy areas are referred to as marshlands. Swamps are habitats for wild animals and are often breeding grounds for a variety of species.
